Hello all!
My first week at the Chekhov intensive has already gone by, and I must say, I'm really, really happy. The group I'm in is really interesting because there's people from all over the world, so one of the things I like the most is the chance to enrich myself by meeting actors from different cultures.
Another thing I'm loving about this workshop is that we are really doing a thorough investigation of the context in which Chekhov's plays take place. Also, all the classes seem to be perfectly articulated so that they complement one another.
The Williams monologue went well. I was nervous but I managed to take my time and be in the moment, so it must have been good. And today, I read my first scene, and I had so much fun. I'm playing Natasha from The Three Sisters. I'm feeling optimistic about it. The scene is a bit of a strech for me, because I never get to play characters that are considered vulgar. I tend to play classier, better behaved characters. So it is a nice change.
Tomorrow night I'm flying to BA for the weekend, due to a family issue. However, I'll be back on Monday, ready to go on with my classes!!
