Today I decided to face facts and go to the Doctor again. The ankle certainly is better, but it is still swollen and I can't use the ankle brace anymore because now that it's hotter I sweat more so it gives me a rash. Corollary: now I have a pill for after lunch. The bump should be completely gone by next week.
The doctor who saw me was the same from last time, so it's almost like I have a doctor in NYC. Don't you totally belong somewhere if you have a doctor there?
Health issues aside, on Saturday we acted in class for the first time. I got a scene as a 17 year old (hahahahaha!!!!) upper middle class girl who was hanging out with her friends before school. We shot it in a small square close to the Studio, and it was fun! And, for all the room for improvement, it really looks good. And also I got to know 3 of my classmates better.
On Sunday I had a consultation meeting for some coaching I'll very likely do. It went really well, so I'm looking forward to it. And then I watched the match against Mexico. It's the first one I watch, and it was a great game. Oh, and I also went to the MET in the morning.
I've also been buying way too many books. Ok, some of them are for my sister. But even putting those aside, I still have a huge reading pile. That is so typical of me. But, like I told my Mum on the phone today, I'm gonna read all that and learn a lot. Which, like she pointed out, is no news since that's I'm always doing. I got books on Stella, on self-management, on acting Shakespeare, and a few plays... So I'm getting down to my own intensive reading program.
So far, this trip is proving highly productive. Can't wait for the Chekhov intensive to begin. A great week to you all!!
